Aggregate
by Leah Koransky and Justin James KingAggregate is a collaborative work by Leah Koransky and Justin James King that uses risograph printing to assemble discrete fragments and particulate elements. It reflects the unique land formations and ecology of Searles Valley, California.
Printed with gold ink on predominantly black paper, the work formally investigates the stark chromatic and tonal contrasts shaped by the desert’s intense sunlight. It evokes a dialogue between light, shadow, and the adaptive systems that have evolved within the remnants of an extinct prehistoric lake.
Printed and sewn by the artists at Conveyor Studio in a limited edition of 50 copies.
